very funny stuff for well-adjusted Christians. Those without a sense of humor, read LaHaye & Jenkins.

before cracking the cover, good advice to repeat "be not offended" at least 3 or 4 times. I am proud of Joel for the guts it took to write this. His musings offer brave insight to the realm of religiousity that is too often mistaken (by Christians themselves, and turned off non-Christians) as the real representation of one who is sold out to Christ. The grist for the mill is satire and humor, yet dishes up bittersweet and heart-heavy expose' that certainly gave me cause for introspection. I did have to shake off the self consciousness of how I appeared if I raised my hands in praise, or used a "christian phrase"...but, fear of man or what people think is the real danger..my life goal is to keep God as my focus for approval.

I read it a few weeks ago and thought it was poignant and entertaining. I wrote a review of it on my DotLove.net web site.
