Purpose

The purpose of this page is to explain in simple terms what is allowed and how users are to act on the site. Please see the Terms of Service for a detailed account of these rules.

BeenUp2.com is an internet service that supports open discussion, self expression, and content that falls within the legal guidelines. Any content that promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual, or is pornographic is not tolerated and will be deleted. Offending users may have their account suspended or deleted at the sole discretion of BeenUp2.com.

Appropriate Commenting

Our support for open discussion and self expression are strongest at the level of a member's personal profile and the content of their friends. We ask that our users respect the content of people they do not know by following the commenting guidelines below.

• Harassment of other BeenUp2 members through comments or private messaging is not tolerated. Offending users may have their account suspended or deleted at the sole discretion of BeenUp2.com.
• Please do not "police" other users. Having users argue with each over about what is permissible leads to problems. Instead, report inappropriate content to the staff and let them deal with the issues.
• In general do not leave negative comments for members that you do not know.
• In general do not send negative private messages to members that you do not know.
• In general do not use profanity in comments for members that you do not know.
• In general do not use profanity in private messages to members that you do not know.

Filtering Content

We understand and expect that some members will find other member's content offensive but may be permissible on the site. We attempt to provide our users tools to limit what they personally expose themselves to. Here are a few tips for filtering out content:

• Clicking the "Everything" link at the top of the page will expose you to ALL of the latest content on the site. Avoiding this is the easiest way to not see content from people you do not know or trust.
• Stay off my lawn! You can limit commenting to only your friends in your account settings. If you continually get comments that you do not appreciate we recommend using this setting.
• Keep a short friend list! Adding users you do not know very well or who have friends that you are offended by will expose you to extra content. Sometimes the best answer is to remove people from your friends list.
