the only thing i need help with is what is Crisco and can i substitute Philadelphia Cream Cheese with something - i do not think we have any of those things... And please, do not laugh, saying, what kind of pie that will be... i really want to cook it and post the picture...

Crisco is a vegetable shortening (not liquid) some people use butter and my mother used lard. Do you have any cream cheese (Philadelphia is just a brand name? If you have any questions, don't hesitate asking. It might be Nathan would have better answers than I. I'll ask him. I hope you have fun making it:) Blessings!!!

a good substitute for shortening is unsalted butter. cut half the salt out of the recipe though if you're using salted butter.
try using marscapone cheese to replace the cream cheese. it might not be quite as thick, but it should give it a similar consistency and flavor.
