scomom: How can you justify that when the Instinct has a proven faster internet connect speed, does live TV (iphone - none), gives GPS turn by turn directions (iphone does not), can record video (iphone cannot), can download music from iTunes (iphone cannot).

rachiebee: Looks cool, but my dad claims his HTC Touch is more power packed. I have no idea what that means. I think this one looks cooler and would be easier to work with fat fingers since there's more screen space. I love sprint service, which is the main reason I wouldn't want to swith to an iPhone, but I do think the iPhone still looks cooler. Samsung did give it a good shot.

scomom: @Rachel...screen on the Touch is way too small. Go check them out. @Daniel...yes, but it still can, and your iphone can't...and they did the test before the 3G was released, but I've had a 3G phone from Sprint for over a year. You and Kurt will have to do a test if Sprint has 3G there. Their network in Redding isn't the greatest, but I've dropped many a call from Bill & Charis' cell phone provider, too. I know...I'll find one of the few iphone people here in the St. Louis area and do a test!

rachiebee: I just read it doesn't have wifi either...bummer. My next phone WILL have wifi, even if I have to wait for the new Treo. Although I guess when sprint's internet is so fast anyway, you don't really need wifi.

scomom: My old Sprint 6700 had wifi...but I rarely used it. I didn't see the point if I could connect anywhere w/the phone's internet, what would I need wifi for except maybe to transfer files from another network.

scomom: Who brought you into it? Just because I mentioned your calls drop sometimes when we're on the phone? I am not a Mac basher...I actually like Mac, but I live in a PC world. What can I say. And...if we had a decent AT&T network here, I might be open. But since we don't...I get to give the iphone lovers a hard time!

katrina: @rach- really? Maybe its grown, cause when I lived there Sprint ALWAYS dropped our calls, and their customer service is probably the worst I've ever encountered, and their billing is beyond scary!!!

rachiebee: @ katrina - weird. I have no idea. I love their service. But yes their customer service is the worst rated in the industry, and I wouldn't argue. And their billing is fantastic. I get 1250 minutes, unlimited data, text, night and weekends (starting at 7) and mobile to mobile for $50/month (unless I'm talking to YOU, lol)...Can't beat it!

rachiebee: Gunna be honest...went to an Apple store today...and it was pretty intriguing. I kinda want one. But if I get one, I promise not to be snobby and biased. I just don't want to be a snobby and biased PC user, either. :o) It's all about trying new things and keeping an open mind, in my opinion. I just don't think I will be able to leave Sprint's service. I love it.

scomom: @Katrina...Sprint has had issues in the past w/dead zones, but is doing much better w/it now. Also...their customer service has improved some, especially in the stores. I have had people spend off & on @8 hrs. w/customer service getting my account straightened out. Sometimes I can do it w/*2, but since I have a store right new to where I work, it's very convenient, and I know all the people there.

rachiebee: If I ever need issues taken care of, I just call *2 and then say "Cancel" which takes you to Retentions. They have ALWAYS been more than happy to help me, and ALWAYS know more about my bill and how to help my problem than the regular customer service people. I've even gotten 10-20% discounts on my bill for my complaints, and free services when I was up for my contract and told them I was thinking of switching. :o)

Oh and by the way, for those of you who don't know, get a SERO plan with Sprint, and if you can't get one, e-mail Ecare and ask for a loyalty discount, credit union discount (if you are a credit union) and see if your employee has a discount also. Just some suggestions to save money. I love Sprint. :o)
