What is HDR, a lense? Do you take your pics in jpeg or raw?

I take them with my SD1000 in jpg format.. my point and shoot cant do Raw. Its amazing what you can do with the right software though HDR is high dynamic range imaging or HDRI. is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows.
High Dynamic Range Imaging was originally developed in the 1930s and 1940s. This method was developed to produce a high dynamic range image from a set of photographs taken with a range of exposures.

BTW Raw format would make them even more amazing... (also most of the shots for BMW advertisements are in HDR)

Its what you do with your camera then what you do in the computer.. Its a process not a object or software. its a combination. kind of like taking a good photo... lol
