Thanks everyone! the delivery went well. She did it naturally which was quite a feat considering the poundage of the baby. we stayed home until the last possible moment and when we got to the hospital she was 9cm dilated (that was at 4:40 a.m or so) she had some pretty heavy labor until around 7 when they broke the water. There was meconium in the water so once the baby crowned she was out in 15 seconds and whisked away to have any liquid sucked out.
it was intense and surreal.

obviously she really labored hard from 7 until 9. that was the toughest part of the whole thing. having no sleep and trying to push your body through the fatigue and pain to deliver a giant. I am so proud of my wife. She is made of sturdy stock.

Amazing job Emily! I love to hear how involved Dads are in the process. Your labor sounds similar to mine and I'm glad that there were not complications! Totally surreal, the waiting, like eternity, and then the moment they come everything is forever changed. You guys are "Mom" and "Dad" now, how cool is that!
