Woke up at 5am, sat straight up in bed because I was sure I heard Jeremiah crying OUTSIDE. So I went to his room first, and couldn't find him in there, and panicking I ran outside and looked everywhere for him.
Couldn't find him, so I checked their rooms again and he was in Nick's bed tucked underneath the covers.
Anyway, I couldn't go back to sleep after that and usually when I can't sleep it's because I am supposed to be interceding, so I did for other kids or anyone in trouble.
This morning Jon said he felt uneasy last night before going to bed, said he saw something go by the window but didn't get up to check it so felt uneasy all night long.

Wow, that IS crazy. I had something like that happen a couple of weeks ago and I STILL don't know what it was. I woke up at 4AM on the dot to what sounded like a grown man screaming in pain/fear right behind our bedroom (which would be in our side/back yard). I was scared to death. I mean, really. Tim was gone (hunting, bah), so I just laid there praying as fast as I could. My mind went into a million scenarious, and they were ALL BAD. It didn't help when I called my husband and he told me he forgot to lock the front door and said to go get the shotgun. I said, "ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW???" And he replied, "Babe, it's a proven fact that sound of the pump of a shotgun will scare off any criminal activity 90% of the time..." HAHAHAHA
Oh and no one was there...some kids across the street were still partying, so I called the cops, worried something bad happened, but I watched the cops talk to the kids and they looked dumbfounded. Anyway, to say the least, I prayed for a good 2 hours straight after that. Yikes.

Wow! And that is funny, because we had some party kids throw a fire-cracker into our back yard last week and scared the *&^% out of us! It sounded like a gun shot, anyway, Jon grabbed his shot gun which we keep under the bed for the same reason. It's not loaded but he thinks the sound will send any intruders running! Chk-chk.

Big relief can't even think of something happening to Jeremiah or the rest of you either but have to wonder how safe it was for you to be out there by yourself at 5 in the morning! Dwight was up here at 3 this morning (which he NEVER does) because he said he heard a strange noise! Wierd anyway have a peaceful safe nite tonight maybe you have to put a bracelet around Jeremiah that sets off an alarm if he goes out the door : )

You're going to have to work on your shotgun sliding noise. : ) I'm glad all is well. I have a little bit of a sense of security with my rolling billboard alarm van parked out front.
