I don't understand what the Lord is up to as far as the country goes, but there is a healing going through the African-American community right now. We need to bless that...
I truly wish Coretta Scott King could have lived to have seen this...

I truly, truly agree. And there is a part of me that is totally proud that I was able to see the day that our country voted in an African American.....

It's great, but a part of me is just so heartbroken that it had to be not only the first black president, but the MOST LIBERAL president. Just seeing all of the crying people made me even more upset. It's like, "They don't even know what's really happening."
Lord change his heart.

All our days of prayer and fasting have not and will not go to waste. I believe Obama knows he cannot be an extreme any longer...he now has to be the voice of our nation. I think as a church the Lord is going to give us new strategy into abortion. We now need to be the voice of solution. Being at the forefront of adoption and effective evangelism that counters socialism. We may have not won the battle but we will win the war!

@ liz - TOTALLY agree. It's up to US! Do we mope and stay angry (my flesh's preference right now), or do we stand up and say that our God is a GOOD God who does NOT forsake His people! The eyes of the Lord look toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry!!!

@lilzflaherty - You can't legislate abortion, and I'm not sure that the Lord wants it to stop that way. The only, only way to stop abortion is for hearts to be so transformed that abortion is unthinkable.
That and the fact that abortion is a zilllion dollar industry. Providers are in it ONLY to make money. Curse the money like the fig tree. Once the money dries up, the providers vanish.
Here's a strategy that will put many providers out of business. Crusade in your community for minimum standards of care requirements at abortion clinics. Regulate that, because of the potential for catatrophic complications that providers have admitting privileges to a local hospital (many don't) and that they carry a set amount of malpractice insurance. 20 years ago a friend of mine was paying 10,000 a month malpractice insurance and he had never had a claim.

@ladybug - you perceive you lost a righteous battle that your heart was so united with the Lord in. You are feeling tremendous grief...
BUT, this is a moment of opportunity we can't afford to miss. Obama had no intention of winning this. He was getting out there to be known for 2012. He had no plan on what he was going to do if he won going into this.
As he faces the enormity of the task before him, this is going to be one of the times he is going to be looking for wisdom outside himself. He needs an encounter with Jesus NOW.
This isn't playing out the way we thought, but there is still an opportunity for us to see a righteous man take the office of President in January....

I TOTALLY agree. I didn't see my comment as believing that abortion will end without the laws changing... I am saying now that we lost the election for a president who is against abortion for the next 4 years new revelation and the game plan. I believe that giant can come down even when laws are still in place like you said...the hearts have to change.
