I found what it is: "Clotted cream is a thick yellow cream made by heating unpasteurized cow's milk and then leaving it in shallow pans for several hours. During this time, the cream content rises to the surface and forms 'clots'."
When clotted cream is not commercially available, a reasonable copy may be made by combining two parts whole milk with one part whipping (heavy) cream, heating at the very lowest possible heat for a couple of hours until a skin forms, leaving it undisturbed overnight, and then harvesting the skin and its underclots. The remaining milk may be consumed or used in any number of recipes.
I would try one bite maybe..=-)

WOW! I can't believe you found it online! that is amazing! That stuff is amazing.... :) Two day shipment and it still did okay? I guess that is something you don't risk ordering in Redding in the summer :)
mrs_hathaway:

i used to work at a tea room and cater tea parties, so fun!
an easy to way to sort of 'cheat' and make clotted cream at home is use real whipping cream with a little superfine sugar and sour cream to taste. Its delicious - with a lot less effort. Super yummy! :)

also yeah the apricot jam is unorthodox, but still tasty! scones and cream are usually served with a red jam like strawberry or marion berries...
