Oh man! SO interested!!!! I want to learn anything and everything, but starting with the basics would be great!
An area that I would espescially like more knowledge in is concepts of light (how to adjust settings according to lighting, prefered lighting for different types of photography, and ways to overcome lighting problems). I am super excited about this! Thanks Bret! :o)

@jazzy - when I eventually get an iPhone (prophesying over myself there) I'll be able to you out more - until then, here's a couple of suggestions. First a book by a guy whose a pretty good author if you can put up with his humor (oh yea, you're married to Chris, nevermind ;-)
