Rachie: I did too! Etta James has been one of my very favorite artists since high school. I get lost in her voice.

Aw, cool! I'm glad I'm not the only one. Our wedding was FULL of music. Ah, how it moves me.

maryj:

we also played "I'm too sexy" at the reception: dedicated to grandma! both of our grandmas got out on the dance floor and danced! it was awesome!
jessie:
yup, and we didn't tell anyone that we were gonna play it. It was great! I winked at the audience as we were leaving. It was so fun. And if you know me its me. I have been known to push the envelope. I think my mother in law almost died, LOL
steve_og_65:
Yeah, one church didn't like dancing so we had a reception elsewhere and the couple left the building to "Born to be Wild" got on a Honda Shadow 1150, wedding dress and tux and rode away. This was on of your BU2 friends. :-)

Matt wanted to walk down to I Would Walk 500 Miles, but I didn't let him. We actually walked out of our reception to Lets Get It On. I think all 375 people were taken off guard. It was hilarious. We had so many different types of music at our wedding too, but it was us. There is no discribing how music defines a moment in your life!

My brother wants to sing " I would walk 500 miles" to his wife as she walks down the aisle. I hope he does.

LOL Carlis! Who knew "Lets Get it On" was actually such a popular wedding tune.. makes me laugh!
rachiebee:
Oh ours weren't funny, just really meaningful. My dad wrote two surprise songs for the wedding, "Give Her Away" which made me sobb like a baby, and "here we come" which is what we walked out to. Tim walked down the aisle to "twenty four" by switchfoot. And I also had a live all girl acapella choir that sang "the rose" and...hmm, I can't remember what else. OH! Yes it as "set me as a seal." It was awesome, but of course I'm biased. ;)

P.a. I think funny songs would have been great too.so I'm not knocking it! Just to be clear! ;) I actually think "let's get it on" would be HILARIOUS!!
carlis:
We only had the one funny song, but the rest were really sentimental. Be Thou My Vision was sang while we did communion. Oh, I guess Kiss Me was kind of fun to walk back down to. I loved it though.

We had Anthony Skinner sing one of his original worahip songs to walk down the aisle to and walked out to beautiful day by U2. Chris also surprise sang "I'm desperate for you" and it was funny to me because it was like he was REALLY desperate for God since he was marrying me! Love u honey ;)
