papabear: @steve - he talks about three sets of generals: Grant and Lee, George Thomas and John Bell Hood, Francis Barlow and John B. Gordon. Most know of the first two but not many know about the last four. Excellent perspective on honor, loyalty, courage, devotion to duty and leadership. Even those folks who aren't interested in the civil war would get something out of this. IMHO

steve_og_65: I was thinking about this at work tonite and I think I remember a Gen. Buell. If my memory serves me right. Where did you find this book? I would be interested in finding it. I'll do a little research on these men.
