Thanks for sharing that was very neat! Too bad they chose not to air it. I am sure Obama would be brought to tears by this one!

it ran on bet the day of the inauguration, and has been on the oreilly factor, and covered on nbc news i believe... just interesting that the superbowl would block this when there is all sorts of different advertisers, including political stuff. -c

Probably because they don't have President Obama's permission to use his picture.

it was aired on black entertainment tv, so i don't think they need obama's permission. they are a non profit catholic org - it just has to do with the bias of the network, because as i said it has already aired on tv with his pic. it doesn't degrade him, just brings a message of life and possibility. i thought it was very good taste. also, this is positive... think of all the negative stuff put on tv with former presidents faces on them. free speech seems that if you pay for the air time, you should be able to run a tasteful commercial. all sorts of other orgs like united way, peta, etc run commercials on these types of events. i haven't heard if the white house has made any comment on it or not. i am sure, whatever obama's says about abortion, his own story should say he is glad his mom chose not to abort him even though she had difficult circumstances. -c

@ Luke, why do you think they rejected it?

manwaring:
They are probably thinking that this is about the last thing an average football fan wants to see during the super bowl.

Did the Superbowl reject it.... or the one's selling the commercial time reject it... NBC. Let's see, What was NBC's coverage of the last election like? (acknowledged by most, even Hillary, as in the tank for Obama) Apparently the commercial didn't send a "thrill up their leg" as Obama did for Chris Matthews of their news division after listening to an Obama speech. (what he said "on camera") Now if Obama were Pro-life.....???
