rachiebee: @ voxdei - EXACTLY! Adam is so boring and predictable at this point. Why are they all so ENTRHALLED with him, still? I mean, really...I can plan out his performance every week: wear heavy eyeliner, try to look really punky, pretend I'm not waaay too old to pull off my attitude/clothing choices, dance around the stage provocatively, and throw in a good 4 or 5 different screamy-tongue-sticking-out high notes, so the 15 year old girls scream.

I personally thought Adam's performance was the worst, because that song is CLASSIC, and he murdered it. It just turned into another boring Adam song. Lame.

I can't believe how horrible the judging was last night. I will agree with Kara's statement on Danny and Kris not fitting the classic rock role very well, but I thought that their duet of Renegade was awesome! I love that song and they killed it (Danny was better, tho :).

I like him the most out of the guys, but Allison is my favorite.

nichole: The thing I don't get is Kara did not like Adam at all at the beginning. Like... at all. She constantly complained about him being to theatrical - as did most of the other judges. And now.... nothing has changed... and she LOVES him and he can do no wrong. I don't get that. I have never been someone to think that the producers are trying to throw the competition but sadly this time I do. And IF they are... and IF my theory is correct... it's kinda sad for Adam. I think the fact that he has talent is unquestionable. But the judges are so extremely opposite of how they were at the beginning it's hard to not believe my little conspiracy theory. Am I right? haha.

I used to like Danny, but he bores me now.

Kris is super good, but the tone of his voice drives me crazy.

In my opinion, Adam is the only unique singer left. I like him, and his cds may sell good, but:

Allison is my favorite and the most likely to earn a slot in my iTunes with her solo debut.

aslan: @rachiebee: You're right, technically Kara "was" correct, but what I was bothered by was "how" it was said. Someone can say, for instance,, "oh, you're a Christian." and be correct..... but sometimes it can leave you wondering whether it's a compliment, an observation, or a put-down. As we've all learned all too often here on bu2, it's ALL in the delivery, not necessarily "what" someone says, but "how" they say it.

@jacoblee: The "uniqueness" of Adam, is theatrical movement on the stage, lighting, eyeliner, hitting a high note at sometime in a performance (admittedly, an excellent vocal range), and sticking out your tongue at some point in the performance. Wasn't that all done in the 80's (or by Michael Jordan)? I was very impressed the 1st time or two...since then he has been "anything" but unique. Instead, he's very predictable. If I wanted unique alone, I'd have supported the comedy guy. Ever heard of Tiny Tim (the singer)? Where is he now anyway? What about flexibility, versatility, personability along "with" vocal quality....?

He was a perfect example of my idea of an "American Idol." Although, I will admit, Adam is awesome vocally. I just think he's totally boring. Danny is also starting to get really boring, and as much as I love his sweetness and story, I really don't hope he wins. I would probably never buy a CD by him. Allison on the other hand, dang...she is GOOD! I have never heard such amazing vocal control. I Was SO offended when Simon told her that she was lucky to have the duet with Adam, because it SAVED HER this week! WHAT A JOKE!

lilmama: Oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one with the same complaints. I have been watching this show since season one faithfully. And, I have called the winner early on every year. EXCEPT for this year. It is clear the judges are pushing for Adam, but I don't get it. I don't think he is "all that". I don't think he is a true artist. I think he is an actor, he fills a roll, copies or acts. That is different than a true vocalist or musical artist. Danny and Allison are vocalists, Kris is an artist.

Anyway, I don't know why or when the judges decided they wanted Adam to win but unfortunately they have a lot of pull and influence over the competition. This is the first year I am in direct opposition to their comments and cannot pick the clear winner.

I am HOPING it is not Adam.

sinyarda: So many Adam haters:) I love him. I think he is consistently amazing at every song. I don't dig the screaming but ya know. I love Danny and Kris too though. Im torn! I wouldn't miss Allyson at all. Is that mean? I just don't like her voice. I didn't watch Tuesday's yet so maybe I'll see something to change my mind.:)
I also think the show is really pushing Adam, ever notice he always has these grandios entrances and special lighting? No wonder the others can seem dull by comparison? Not fair....but I still like him.:)

myriah: Interesting season. I like Danny. He may be getting boring lately, but, in my opinion, the recent themes haven't been lending to his genre. Allison is amazing. She can SANG!!!!!
Adam can sing, but his style is revolting. I agree with Jacob, the sound of Chris' voice grates on my nerves, even though there's no doubt that he's talented. Just not my taste...

aslan: I guess by now everybody knows Allison has departed...... too bad. I, personally, loved "both" her voice and singing style. At this point they're ALL so talented that it seems more appropriate to be "for" someone than to hope someone else is eliminated.

@amanda: I agree that Adam's performances have many more stage effects than the others..... no doubt a result of his stage theatrical background. I wonder if things like lighting are a decision of the show's producers, or at the request of the individual contestants....? Adam's performances look much more professional as a result, regardless of who is responsible.
