Erica - actually I think they do what is called the Value added tax. The fair tax is far beyond that and is way more productive. Everyone should read about it.

I think people may be still be a little worn out from the presidential hoopla, give them just a little longer and they could kick back in. Plus, we're fighting against disappointment and despair with the economy and unfortunately, many dems and libs even are discouraged with Obama. Sometimes, I see my friends stuff they put on but I don't respond cause I'm processing it and all the different sources. I hope that's slightly encouraging ;o)

The problem with waiting to recover from the "presidential hoopla", if I may say so, is that the ever-expanding government isn't taking a siesta and more socialist agendas have been set into motion in the past 6 months then we've seen, um....ever.

@ ms. amazing - But, I don't think there's anything wrong with people looking at what others are posting and not responding on that page...is that what the frustration was about from your 1st comment or am I completely missing the mark? Or do you believe that people just don't look. For myself, I look but I don't leave remarks but it's not because I'm not thinking or responding in other ways, it's just cause I don't have time to leave comments on all the different things I see posted. I also don't usually leave remarks on pages that have a flavor of sarcasm or anger mixed up in them. I know alot of people I've heard have also tired of seeing people's political or social concerns on social networks where they just want to be social. However, that's freedom of speech, if they don't like it, they just don't need to read it!
I understand what you are saying, you are speaking about a real problem. I just think wasting precious time and energy on feeling frustration over whether or not people respond to our pages is wasted energy. But, maybe I'm missing entirely what you guys are saying.

I don't get frustrated about people not responding....that would be silly and giving others control over my emotions. I get frustrated that I see most people NOT doing anything about things they should do things about because it's their responsibilty as Americans. Doug and I can't do everything. haha :)
