joel: ... in that I'm always calling my son Evan "Kyle," and sometimes calling Kyle, Evan by mistake. This climbing route was named this.

joel: This was on the climbing wall at Boulderdash - the name of one of the routes up the wall. Evan is in Guadalajara.

joel: That's a good question. I haven't thought about it but I would guess two things: HIs hair is just like yours was as a kid - brown and completely straight, worn in a bowl cut. Second, he is quiet like you were, in sort of a thoughtful way. So the cues seem to be audio and visual. As he hangs around the house he triggers the "Kyle is here" parts of my brain.
