@ Sasha: I think it just needs to be taken out and burned. Since we put it in when I pregnant with Kloey, 6 years in a church nursery is long enough I think:)
@Chris: have you seen those rubber interlocking mats? They're cushioned and easier to keep clean.

I found some online sites. They have different colors, but not super kid-like colors. More or less they are industrial, but we could look into it further and maybe find something that would work. It could be wall to wall and very clean:)
