bscofield: Where's the camo?

megmc: I have the migi pinwheel set and love it, but I think the other one is more gender neutral. Have you been able to touch both?I know the migi set is super soft. I don't know, but the price of the second seems too good to ne true. Like it could be a lower quality fabric.
Things to consider.

Rachel
rachiebee: Actually, these are both the costs after we use our $100 gift certificate on Amazon.com. The migi stuff is expensive. My good friend has the pinwheel set, too, and it's so cute, but i just don't know if I can justify the $90! I haven't touched the colorful set but it's a good brand and I think it's probably nice.

Rachel
rachiebee: @ ben - oh if only they had gender neutral camo...what a wonderful day that would be. :)

bethanys: I love the blue and brown! Adorable! But I also love the bright colors of the other one. I think I'd have to go eventually with the blue and brown because the colorful one doesn't look very calming for a place for baby to sleep. I know it doesn't matter to some babies but others, like my Israel, if he's just a little bit stimulated he won't sleep. You could always put a cute light pink blanky and other accessories in the room if it's a girl. But then again the price is crazy. If I went with the colorful one maybe I'd just use a different sheet if the baby ended up having any trouble settling down at bedtime.

bscofield: They have grey camo...

Rachel
rachiebee: I am pretty sure we're going with #2. If you look at the bumper, it's not all that crazy, the parts that are bright and colorful are more the sheet adn the comforter, so I think we'll be okay. And I know, I just really had a hard time justifying the price of #1. Although it's SO cute and has been my favorite since we found out we were prego, but I stumbled upon #2 yesterday and REALLY liked it.

It was a rough process because I didn't want any kind of "themed" bedding, like animals, fish, etc. I just wanted cute colors and shapes...maybe some nature tones (like leaves, etc)...but it was SO hard to find that! Especially in neutral.

akvietti22: Honestly, when I look at the one on the left, I think boy and the one on the right I think girl. :-P I know they would be considered gender neutral but both kinda leave towards a gender. With that said, I have 4 boys and am frankly tired of blue, so I'd have to go with #2, the one on the right. Love the colors.

Rachel
rachiebee: haha, I know Anna, I agree...you have no idea how hard the search has been for neutral bedding! And honestly #1 isn't supposed to be "neutral" but I had so many people tell me they loved it and that I could pull it off either way. Anyway, we are going to make #2 work! Boy or girl, they are going to LOVE it whether they like it or not, haha. Kidding.

akvietti22: I always had the same problem with neutral bedding. There was one that worked for me back when the Tony and the twins were born. It was the John Lennon animal collection. I used the same collection, just different styles with each. And I could incorporate Tony's old stuff with the new. I felt like such a genius for coming up with the idea. Hahaha! Now the twins are 4 years old and bedding consists of plain sheet, plain pillow case, and plain blanket. Hahaha! As they get older focus changes. I kinda miss those days though. ;-)

Anna Banana
akvietti22: I think you made the right choice though. I'm pullin for you to have a girl, so this would be perfect. I just couldn't imagine you sticking with the other one if you had a girl. Something about having a girl, you just HAVE to have some pink in there. It's funny how back in the day you would always say that blue can be used by girls but pink can't by boys. These days it almost seems the opposite. At least in my opinion. Hahaha!

Rachel ADVICE! Please vote and tell me what you think! This has been a super hard decision, even though I know it really doesn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of things. :) Just humor me. (repost from FB)
