Safe Boot brings up the login screen, but once you enter the password it sits for a bit then flashes the blue screen, then goes back to the login screen...

There is a disk stuck in the drive that I could not get to eject. (Mouse button on startup didn't work, didn't try single user mode...)

is it trying to eject at all? sometimes i'll stick a credit card in there to help it eject while pushing the eject button.

Oooh that's a good idea. I guess the DVD we thought was stuck was in Carli S's car. Now she needs to find the disks so I can run disk utility and the hardware test.
