It's only been 48 hours but I feel so yucky. I was doing alot of refined sugar - way toooo much. I feel Kinda shaky, achy and irritable. That's probably normal?
sarahcrew:
It is! I will not begin mine until January!!

I gave in and had a little homemade applesauce with some sugar in it (but not much). But in a normal day, I would have had a whole LOT more by now. I really want off of it. I hate that it feels like the cravings for it control me more then I can control it. I'm gonna kick it in the butt. Come on Sarah, join me!!
sarahcrew:
Tonya - there is no way i am during this time in life! A flood, moving, getting rid of my life, having a 4 month old. i will wait till i get settled in so i don't go to prison.

Bwahahaha. Sarah I had the feeling u might respond like that. I want to overcome this before I get preggers again n really feel I need to. I'll have it again obviously but I'll b in control instead of the sugar. Leah. I miss agave. We had so many more options in Cali. I'm still looking for it here. But that's a good reminder. When you bake can u substitute agave in anything?

annieem:
NO, you need to stick with it. Honestly you WILL feel better soon!

I would order in bulk online they even sell it on amazon :) I do use agave in backing and use about the same as sugar. Like with apple pie I use the same but make sure you use green apples... Or in pumpkin pie agave works great! The trick to no sugar is making sure u have treats "good ones".... Also get pitted dates then put a pecan or walnut with it and it's so yummy.

hupagirl:
Yep, I've ordered it on Amazon :) I think I'm feeling inspired to cut the sugar again (just not the coffee) ;)
Leah, I was wondering about that. That's awesome, I'll chk it out. For me, I really need substitute treats that taste like the real ones. Thanks for that. I'm gonna chk it out.
Amanda, you're too funny! I actually don't like coffee, just the fancy creamers and hoitey toitey expensive Fraps!

at 06:34AM 10/29/09

Stevia is pretty good, but use a lot les of it then you would regular sugar. My mom uses it in her drinks (tea..ect) and I put it on my oatmeal with cinnamon and stuff like that.
Maybe detoxing from refined sugar & caffeine wasn't such a brilliant idea. It's making me feel a little crazy. Seriously.
