yeah it does. I don't remember if I did or not (knee-locking) - but I'll try to remember that next time! super tired, very hot, maybe dehydrated, nervous, maybe not breathing properly with all that...I know those were definitely going on.
the_mccloud:
haha yes, wes - I don't remember that ever happening to anyone in my band, def. not to me, and i don't remember much advice or anything i learned from marching band :) but thank you for your words of wisdom. people at the wedding thought that might have been what I did, but I couldn't tell ya!

wes:
Do you remember them saying anything about keeping your knees bent?
the_mccloud:
wow no...not at all!! apparently this is a pretty common piece of advice that I really don't remember. it's a Yanigasawa - was brand new...2001 - played several professional saxes and chose this upper intermediate one cause I liked the sound the best. been wanting to get it shined up/whatever for awhile, and now...pounded back into shape.

fainted while playing my sax at a wedding on sunday in a very hot part of Mexico, luckily the sax broke my fall! dented the bell, thankfully not my face.
