Isaac Shalom ushered in laughter and peace on Nov. 6th at 6:40pm. He weighed 7lbs 7oz and was 20 1/2 " long. Labor began on Thursday night around 8:30pm but I labored in and out of sleep. Contractions got closer and stronger around 1:30am. Around 8 am things slowed due to exhaustion and fear. Had amazing healing breakthrough when the Lord helped me verbally process my brokenness over our last baby loss. Holy Spirit filled the room and peace settled. It was incredible how everything shifted from that moment. Casey and I were given permission to rest together alone all day. I continued to labor through cuddles and moments of us sitting in the sun together worshipping through contractions. It wad supernatural because worshipping through contractions lessened the discomfort almost all together even though the contractions were getting more intense. The the laughter came! I don't hardly ever laugh out loud and the contractions were strong and yet this hysterical laughter rose up and spilled out. Belly laughter, can't stop,uninhibited fun laughter. And no pain, which made me laugh harder. At one point I even said, "I feel so powerful, like I'm laughing in the enemy's face because of all the stuff he stole from me, he did not win"! The laughter was so healing and glorious! That is when we named him Isaac. Many have said his birth would bring healing, we just didn't expect it to come by laughter. My water broke during the last 2 pushes. It annointed Casey and my midwife, again laughter. Casey delivered Isaac Shalom and as my SIL said Ad Casey received Isaac he received and was saturated in laughter and peace. He has needed both so much. This was truly a supernatural birth! God has once again proven Himself faithful, trustworthy and so so very good'
