| Currently waiting for my flight to Chicago from Denver... I'm reading The Shack, and I've already met several strangers in this airport and the Sac. airport that have asked me about it. i love people. I met two veterans, one who was a total talker and wanted to be everyone's best friend, and couldn't stop talking about politics. The other, quiet and in a wheelchair, and constantly made eye-contact with me from across the room with a smile behind his watery eyes that seemed to say "you are a special young lady." He seemed very wise to me, though I didn't talk much with him since the other man was much more dominating. I met two older women, one from Denver, and one from Sacramento. The Denver lady flies a lot, loves Yorkie dogs, and is super talkative. The Sacramento lady was on her way to Chicago, like me, to be with her son who is an aspiring film-maker. I met two young guys from San Diego, on their way to Montana to visit one of the guy's mom who lives in Tom Selek's old house. They are video-game makers...or something involving video games...i'm not sure. One of them loves San Francisco, graduated with an art degree, and had visited Redding and actually enjoyed it! I love Redding too. Those were just a few that i've met so far today... I look forward to meeting more tomorrow!!! |
