| I don't remember much of what happened that morning but I am sure it was just the usual StoreSense work .. trying to get the software to use two languages at the same time and find some sort of integration for the local shippers. On our way to lunch we drove through what was apparently a peaceful protest for women's rights or something. The restaurant we ate at was pretty good. We were introduced to an Indonesian drink called "Juice Alpokat" which is basically an avocado and chocolate milkshake. I am slightly allergic to avocados but I was able to drink the whole thing and was very surprised at how good it was. * Beef and lamb sate w/peanut sauce * Orange juice * Juice Alpokat * Tofu w/sauce * White fish w/Sweet and Sour sauce * White rice Back to the office where we had once again lost internet connectivity. This is when some of the *interesting* stuff started heating up. Unfortunately I am sworn somewhat to secrecy. Kevin asked our hosts to take us out on the town so that we could see the Jakarta night life. We started out at a Thai restaurant. * Seafood soup w/a spicy broth * White fish w/pink grapefruit * White rice w/chicken gizzards * Thai coffee Afterwards we dropped by Hard Rock Cafe for the obligatory shirt then it was off to the bars. |
