Oh my gosh I love Patrick Dougherty's stuff!
I heard him speak at Boise Art Museum a few years ago. He had sculpted 3 huge teepees inside the museum. It was sad they eventually had to take them down, they were what I'd call exquisitely beautiful.
He has these huge sculptures all over the world. Absolutely incredible work-he uses trees found locally wherever he does them. I think it usually takes him a few months to create. To build a piece of art that people can walk into....think how powerful this could be if the artist was kingdom minded!
he's creating fairylands... I love it!!
@sashbags: these are at Turtle Bay at the Botanical Gardens!! A must see in Redding!!
