Because the wooden beam that the wall is built on is rotten most of the way across and I have to replace is with good wood, so I have to hold it up in the meantime.

Erin, this is inside the kitchen area that I gutted and yes that is a cedar log, but it is just placed there to help hold up the house I had some trees fall down in the woods behind the house so I made use of them.
Angela, yes it has been humid, although we now have a little bit of a dry spell. Could use some rain.
