About sdmom
Our pack consists of my husband Chris, me (Deb) and my service dog, Angus. We are Christians with the Joy of the Lord in our hearts. We just relocated to Indiana from Florence, SC in Nov.07, and are trying to get used to the cold winters after living in both of the Carolinas for 19 years. Angus loves the snow, but is not too fond of the extreme cold. He is an AWESOME service dog, bred in Australia, by one of the creators of the Labradoodle breed. He pulls my chair, picks up everything I drop, helps me get things off the shelves at the store, goes for help, braces, helps with laundry, dressing, turns lights on and off, opens and closes doors, wakes Chris, and gives kisses and cuddles on command. There is not enough room to list how many other things he does for me! Service dogs change the lives of people with disabilities but there is a shortage of them, causing those who would benefit by having one to wait for 5 - 7 yrs. to get one. I trained Angus using the Top Dog system, Teamwork I and 2, DVD's and Books which shows people with all levels of disabilities how they can train their own service dog.

Thanks to you both! I am so grateful for him, and he keeps us laughing. He is a great dog, you really would love him. He loves kids, and after church they run over to pet him. When we go to the mall, we have to make sure we have at least a half hour extra, as people stop us every few feet, wanting to know more about him. Sometimes we make up cards to put in his vest to give out when we dont have time to talk that has his info and small photo on it! If you go to www.labradoodleasd.com there are four video snippets of him taking the laundry in, picking up a pen, getting his vest off the wall, and opening the fridge if you want to see him in action. (smile) Click on Service Dog Program, and then Deb and Angus' page. That is his breeders site. He is currently dating Trumpmama's dog Lucy! Did you see their photos together?
Beautiful family you have by the way. What a blessing! He would have a ball with the kids! I saw you are Apple fans, and we are going to get one sometime before christmas as well. Not sure if it will be a laptop or desktop yet...but looks like you get more for the money with the desktops. We have a website to create and seems so much easier and more professional with less frustration learning it, than frontpage. Have you guys done a website on it yet?
