have you ever seen the NIrV version? It is great for reading to kids! It's a verse by verse translation, but in simple enough language for them to understand it. I think it is like a thrid grade reading level or something.

As long as the hormone levels keep rising I have to keep getting shots, but the doctor has never seen anyone need three. They hadn't risen enough for either pregnancy to be viable anymore after the first shot. God can do anything, but I don't know how He could fix this mess. I'm just praying that I hold onto my sanity, and keep my eyes on all the great things He has called me to. I feel like we are doing head to head battle with the local stronghold of poverty here. He has stolen things most precious, and we are fighting back with thanksgiving, for the many blessings God has poured into our lives, and generosity (when there is anything to give). Thaksgiving and generosity are two key weapons against poverty, I think. We were going after 500 souls to get our hundredfold return, shall we make it 700???

I'm not sure. Ours is called "Read to Me Bible" and it has realistic illustrations wich I appreciate, so they don't think it's just another fairy tale. Sometimes when I don't understand a verse in my NIV I look it up in the kids' (after I disect it with my concordance of course) It is so great how each verse is put so simply. Maybe not as accurate as a grown up Bible, but better than a paraphrased story Bible for sure.
