just a thought. In the book of revelation chapter 5:8 why is it that the SAINTS are the ones who present to the slain lamb(Jesus) the prayers of all the saints throughtout history????I think there could be something that about the synergy of the ages that us Protestants are missing. When God answered Abrahams prayer through Jacob or Issac it was considered the same as if he did it through Abraham. I'm not saying let's conjur up our favorite saint in history, but I am saying that we have a greater connectivness to them than we think. God loves community and he wants us to do it together!

@papa bear. I didn't grow up catholic, but I have the testimony of a Protestant who was completely intrigued by catholicism. I even have a story about how I decieved the catholic diocese of North Carolina. I call it the great catholic scandal!!!! I'm moving to Redding in January. I can tell it to you then! :-)

I just pray I don't die without being able to pull as much as I can from the catholic church as I can. They are the original church. They have so many things us evangelicals need! A sense of community, life, traditions, family, and stuctured values. Thank God for Martin Luther breaking away but many believe that the subsequent trickle down effects has been many church splits in the Protestant realm. And it's always over doctrinal difference. We really need a unity in the faith that superceedes all the debating. And that's my two cents.
